How Apprenticeships work
Enrolment and initial assessment: Assess your skills and set up a personalised programme.
Personalised learning plan: Outlines your goals, on-the-job tasks, and off-the-job training.
On-the-job training: Practical experience with mentorship in the workplace.
Off-the-job training: Off-the-job training is no longer calculated as a percentage of working hours. Apprentices must complete a minimum of 187 hours of structured learning.
Regular assessments and feedback: Ongoing support from tutors and assessors.
Assessment: Assessment methods are now more flexible. Some assessments may be completed during the programme, and in some cases, training providers may deliver parts of the assessment.
Certification and progression: Earn a recognised qualification with pathways for further study or full-time roles.
